policy
GOVERNMENTS SHOULD TAKE A LONG-TERM APPROACH TO IDENTIFY ALL THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO NATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY AND THE CONTRIBUTION OF EACH THAT IT CAN GIVE.
THIS HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN MANY COUNTRIES WHERE, FOR EXAMPLE, WIND ENERGY IS ALREADY A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF ENERGY SOURCE: DENMARK UP FOR ABOUT 20% OF ITS ENERGY NEEDS WITH WIND POWER, BUT SPAIN AND ABOUT 11% IN GERMANY, THE APPROXIMATELY 7%.
IN 2009, CHINA HAS BROUGHT THE INSTALLATION OF NEARLY 14 GW of wind capacity. THE UNITED STATES AND GERMANY ARE THE SECOND AND THIRD PLACE, WITH RESPECTIVELY, 10 GW and 1.9 GW, FOLLOW INDIA, UNITED KINGDOM AND ITALY

key points
The wind and solar are clean, independent, easy and quick installation, and have a stable and competitive price.
Each of them brings with it important benefits:
- inexhaustible source, proven and competitive modern energy
- reduced imports of fossil fuels and creating greater energy independence
- reducing emissions of greenhouse gases
- creating more local employment
